Chapter 24

In this chapter, Tom Robinson was shot and killed. They shot him more then enough, 17 times. He was sent to jail for being convicted of raping Mayella. But he didn't, it is her father that beats her. Tom Robinson shouldn't have been in jail in the first place. The man in the picture above was shot and killed.

Chapter 26

Scout and Jem go back to school. Scout is taught about Hitler. Scout asks Atticus if it is ok to hate Hitler. Atticus says it's not ok to hate anyone. Now, they walk by the Raldey house everyday again. They are yet to see Boo. Scout wants to.

Chapter 14

^Two brothers fighting, just like Scout and Jem (Only Scout's a girl)^
Families fights a lot, this is demonstrated in chapter 14. Scout gets in fights with both Jem and Aunt Alexandra. Scout was eventually asked to stop antagonizing Aunt Alexandra. Families fight, as explained on Mom Scape.

Chapter 15

^In this picture, Scout is talking to Mr cunningham, and holding of the mob^

In chapter fifteen, Scout talked Atticus out of a sticky situation. Scout showed both courage and bravery by running up to her dad, Atticus, and talking to Mr. Cunningham, eventually getting him to make the mob leave. Altough, at first Mr Cunningham seen impassive to Scouts comments. Then, when Scout started talking about entailments, it struck him. Then he softend up and agree with Scout and dismissed the crowd. It can be inferred that threw Scout, Harper Lee advises the readers about violence and how it's not always the answer. The Novel Guide talks about chapter 15 and how Scout talks to Mr Cunningham.

Chapter 10- Da Dawg

In chapter ten, Sout became ashamed of Atticus because he was older, and she felt all her classmates had a father that had a skill. Then, when a "mad", rabid dog came hobbling down the street, Atticus was called upon to shoot it. The dog was in the "dumb" stage of rabies. One of legs of the dog was hobbled and the dog was limping. It was walking in a straight line at a very slow pace. Then the dog came to a fence, closing of the Radley's yard. It stopped, and thats when Atticus shot it.

Chapter 8

Snow, snow had not been seen in Maycomb county in a long time. It was the first time Jem had seen snow. Same for Scout but Jem was older so it was a bigger deal to him. It was an even bigger deal to Atticus, for he was there father and he hadn't seen snow too. The snow was a joy to Maycomb county.

Benign

The word benign means kind and gentle. It is an adjective. It is used in the book To Kill a Mockingbird in the following sentence: "...she was only another lady in the neighborhood, but a relatively benign presence (p. 46)." http://www.lausd.k12.ca.us/Belmont_HS/tkm/

Chapter 4

Bravery vs Stupidity. Was Scout, Dill and Jem being brave or stupid? They roled Scout up to the Radley's house in a tire, brave or stupid? Scout took the gum from a tree near the Radley's house, brave or stupid? Jem ran up and touched the house, brave or stupid? I think they were being brave. Even if what they did was stupid, it was dangerous so they had to be brave to do it. Thats my opinion, check out the poll!

Post 1

I think Scout is not your average first grader. Scout is smart for her age. She knows how to read and is familiar with everyone in town. Scout also seems stubborn. When an adult or another person corrects/punishes Scout, she gets angry and develops a grudge against them. Like Scout has developed a grudge against Miss Caroline because she corrects him and punishes him. Same with Calpurnia because she boss' her around. Also with Walter because she feels he got her in trouble. Scout is probably a silly, stubborn first grader.
